The bad thing is, since each case is solved at the end of each episode, there's not too much to looking forward to the next episode in terms of the story line. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, but the good thing is that it's simple and straight forward for viewers to understand what the plot is about. Brain is that there's a new story in every episode. With that said, I can't say which one i like more. Brain, his character needs to be kooky and weird while in Tsuki, he's a confident person w/ business oriented characteristics. The way how Kimura acted in each of them are very different as well. Brain was a mystery/detective type dorama where Tsuki no Koibito is a romance one. I don't think there can be any comparison done to Mr. Added bonus is Kimura-san playing such an antagonist. TsukiKoi however, is pinging all my buttons (romance, manipulation, cast-chemistry etc). XD Mr Brain offered some really interesting mysteries and an incredibly likeable cast of characters. That said, I adore both Mr Brain and TsukiKoi, so I really can't pick between the two. Like blueboxx said, "For a romance, it just seems like the girls are the only ones experiencing it while Rensuke as the main character seems completely detached from it with neither intention nor influence to nudge him towards jumping on that bandwagon", and this is most definitely not typical of a Kimura Takuya romance drama. And, in comparison to the other currently running dramas, Tsuki no Koibito is maintaining top ratings (both its first and second episodes were the top rated episodes this season).Īnd though this is Kimura-san's first romance drama in 10 years, Hazuki Rensuke is also not a character that fans are used to seeing him play, and this might impact the ratings as well. Ratings for dramas have generally been lower in the past few seasons. I have to agree with purple3purple and kimumatsu here.
